In Food for the Masses, his lyrics are collected in one place, to enlighten, inspire, and enrich fans and newcomers alike with one of the most exciting voices of our times. Franti has toured with U2, the Fugees, and Dave Matthews, recorded with Sly & Robbie and William Burroughs, and become a protest music icon. His annual “Power to the Peaceful” event in San Francisco is a beacon for more than 50,000 people each year.

After his new band, Spearhead, signed with Capitol Records, their albums Home and Chocolate Supa Highway brought them international success. During Michael’s decades of recording, he has established himself as an international touring artist and advocate for the arts and social justice. Michael lives in San Francisco.
